Plastic enclosures

Polyester Enclosures

Polyester cabinets and other plastics enclosures are suitable solutions for many applications due to a variety of benefits: they are weather-proof, lightfast, non-ageing, watertight, seawater-proof, and resist many aggressive environments, e.g. in the chemical industry).

  • fully insulated plastics enclosure (German VDE 0100, section 6.2 compliant) consisting of glass fibre reinforced unsaturated polyester (30% fibreglass), RAL 7035 colouration
  • self-extinguishing material according to ASTM D 635
  • high impact resistance, low weight
  • non-hygroscopic, minimal moisture absorption
  • tolerates even extreme environmental temperatures from -30 °C to +120 °C
  • IP66 (EN 60529) ingress protection
  • standard features include threaded brass studs penetrating the back plane, used for mounting plate installation (excellent recyclability)
  • standardised locking systems with 3 mm double bit insert (can be exchanged for any other common lock system)
  • special gasket runs along all sides on the inside, which makes the enclosure watertight and ensures safe operation and great durability
  • hinges opening 180°
  • optional glazed enclosure door with rubber profile-embedded acrylic glass pane
  • zinc sheet steel mounting plate 2.5 mm gauge or polyester plate 4 mm gauge, available as an accessory

ASA-switch boxes

They encapsulate all components which are clamped on mounting rails-typically these are circuit breakers, power switch, power supplies etc.... Acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylonitrile (ASA) is also a very UV-and weather-resistant material ans provides both indoor and outdoor use.

  • Case including mounting rails for 4 to 36 TE. Accordingly 4-15 PE and N-clips
  • High-quality, scratch-resistant and chemical-resistant surface to aqueous media, dilute acids/alkalis, detergents, oils/fats, alcohols and aliphatic hydrocarbons
  • IP 65 protection
  • IK 08 impact resistant according to EN 50102:2001
  • Temperature resistant from -25°C to +60°C
  • Pre-cut-outs for metric cable glands
  • Approved rated voltage of 400V AC
  • Successful passed filament test of 650°C in the plactics as well as 950°C in the PE and N-clips
